Beijing, November 1, 2019 – Keysight Technologies (NYSE: KEYS) has released a new Electronic warfare (EW) scenario simulation solution that integrates Keysight’s advanced software simulation tools and hardware platforms to build A modern electronic warfare radio frequency (RF) environment for engineers to easily and efficiently test their electronic warfare systems. Keysight Technologies is a leading technology company dedicated to helping enterprises, service providers and government customers accelerate innovation and create a secure, connected world.
With the ever-expanding occupation of the defense industry’s electromagnetic spectrum (EMS), such as RF, microwave, and millimeter-wave radars, this poses a potential threat to military personnel and facilities. Electronic warfare systems need to anticipate and respond effectively to threats from the adversary in this extremely challenging environment. Therefore, scenario simulation technology must be able to reconstruct the real EMS environment in order to accurately verify the capabilities of electronic warfare systems and identify potential risks.
In order to cope with the emerging scenarios, Keysight Technologies has launched two commercial products:
Simulation view software that supports rapid development, integration and testing of complex electronic warfare systems through real-time RF modeling and dynamic high-fidelity visualization.
· UXG Agile Vector Adapter, now includes 20GHz, 40GHz and 44GHz models. The adapter features fast, low-latency frequency, phase, and amplitude switching and supports real-time Pulse Description Word (PDW) data streaming. PDW is the data used to create radar signals.
This portfolio of Keysight products brings metrology-grade test capabilities to customers, enabling customers to obtain high-quality, repeatable test results while reducing lead time and cost. Keysight Technologies has a rich product line and supports open interfaces and architectures to provide customers with a wide range of electronic warfare scenario simulation solutions, from single test bench testing to full-scale scenario simulation. This modern electronic warfare test and evaluation solution is highly scalable and enables efficient use of RF test assets by reconfiguring the system.
Greg Patschke, general manager of Keysight’s Information Warfare Group, said: “Keysight understands that our customers need robust solutions to survive the ever-changing electronic warfare environment. We will continue to work with customers to develop and deliver fast Solutions that adapt to new environments help customers improve laboratory testing.”
Keysight’s EW threat emulation solution uses an open architecture that allows customers to create scenarios using a variety of software tools, often including a customer’s existing threat database. Customers can also choose the software tool that best suits their EW testing needs and generate EW scenarios through pre-scripted programming, dynamic real-time methods, or a combination of the two.
Keysight’s EW scenario simulation solution offers the following benefits:
·Using mature commercial technology to shorten lead time and reduce costs
Reduce the possibility of user error with automatic scene simulator calibration
Extremely reliable replaceable parts eliminate the need for component or module tuning/matching, simplifying repair operations
A commercial upgrade path that delivers the latest capabilities through firmware and software enhancements, leveraging existing assets to address evolving threats
1-year, 3-year, 5-year, 10-year warranty and cost-effective technical support and repairs
