The first batch of domestic quantum communication standards led by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology was officially approved and released for implementation. my country has always maintained a leading position in the field of quantum communication. At the same time, it has a lot of voice in the formulation of quantum communication standards. The International Telecommunication Union (ITU-T) recently released the quantum key and distributed 3 international standards, all of which were deeply participated by my country’s National Shield quantum technicians as editors. Europe is also accelerating the development of quantum communication standards. Recently, two standards development work, “QKD Network Architecture Research Report” and “QKD Security Protection Profile Based on Common Evaluation Criteria” have been launched.
It is reported that the first batch of domestic quantum communication industry standards approved this time include “Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) System Technical Requirements” and “Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) System Test Method”, which are suitable for decoy-based transmission using Fibre Channel transmission. The QKD system of the state BB84 protocol. As the core device in the quantum communication network, the generation and distribution of quantum keys are mainly completed by QKD. The QKD system is the earliest practical quantum information technology, which is mainly used to provide customers with high-level quantum security protection.

Quantum communication is expected to be industrialized
As early as 2009, my country built a quantum communication network with 4 nodes, and in the same year, my country opened the financial information quantum communication verification network. This is the first time in the world that quantum communication technology has been applied to financial information transmission. It is of great significance; in 2016, my country successfully launched the Micius number to connect the ground optical fiber quantum communication; recently, my country has spread good news and successfully achieved quantum information masking for the first time.
The technical breakthroughs and the implementation of relevant standards have laid the foundation for the industrialization of quantum communication technology.
At present, my country has successfully built the world’s first satellite-to-earth quantum communication network. The entire network covers 32 nodes in four provinces and three cities in my country, including four quantum metropolitan area networks in Beijing, Jinan, Hefei and Shanghai. The total distance is 4,600 kilometers, and more than 150 users in the financial, electric power, government affairs and other industries have been connected.
In the future, with the completion of the quantum security communication standard system and the further improvement of the cognition of industry users with security needs, the market space of quantum communication technology is expected to be further opened.
Comprehensive strategic layout still needs to be strengthened

Experts pointed out that quantum communication is an important part of the new infrastructure. On the one hand, it is necessary to strengthen the top-level design and forward-looking layout, formulate an overall development strategy plan, and make up for the shortcomings of the supporting system; on the other hand, it is necessary to speed up the deployment of quantum communication networks and encourage the promotion of quantum communication. Promote the application of 5G, cloud computing, data centers and other key areas of digital “new infrastructure”, and promote the development of industrial practicality.
